World Mission Sunday
The Church continues the mission of Jesus in history and sends us everywhere so that, through our witness of faith and the proclamation of the Gospel, God may continue to manifest his love and in this way touch and transform hearts, minds, bodies, societies and cultures in every place and time. - Pope Francis
Faith by its very nature is missionary, and the celebration of World Mission Day serves to keep this dimension of the Christian faith alive in parishes across the world. World Mission Day, or Mission Sunday, was instituted by Pope Pius XI in 1926, to remind Catholics about their commitment and support to the missionary work of the Church through prayer and sacrifice.

Help a Child be Safe, Happy & Secure
There are children in our community who have been through experiences few of us could begin to fathom and who, without our help, will go through a childhood without the love and support of a family. CatholicCare Broken Bay is looking for everyday families who might consider taking a child or young person into their home - to love and support them, whether for one or two nights, a few weeks, months, or long term. This just might be you. If you have room in your heart and space in your home contact one of our team at CatholicCare Foster Care 4320 7700, firstname.lastname@example.org or www.catholiccaredbb.org.au or come to an Information Evening Wednesday 28 February 6pm 1/32 Central Coast Highway West Gosford.
Diamond Women's Support
Diamond Women's Support is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to provide help and support to women and families facing an unplanned pregnancy.
No woman should ever feel that she is cornered, or that there are no options left for her except to terminate her pregnancy. Lack of support and education, alongside continual bombardment by the media, instils fear - that an unexpected pregnancy is ‘the end’. But we believe everyone is entitled to support, respect and compassionate care.
If you are pregnant, or think you might be and want to talk, give us a call. We can give you and your family support and help for free. Call us on 4399 7099.
Accessibility to our Church
We are pleased to provide wheelchair access to parishioners and visitors to our Church, Parish Centre and toilets, as well as designated disabled parking spots in our carpark.
The Church and Parish Centre are equipped with a Hearing Loop for those with hearing aids.
The Church also has a big screen with large print of the hymns and responses, for those unable to read small print.
As a condition of entry into the Church and buildings, attendees must use the QR code or sign the booking sheet at the front door, use hand sanitiser provided and keep 1.5m social distance in the pews, while processing to Communion and when leaving the Church. Do not congregate outside the Church. If you have cold or flu symptoms please do not enter the premises, and contact your doctor. (NSW Government public health requirements.) Please be sure to sit in the designated seating spots. Families from the same household may sit together. We are advised by Bishop Anthony to wear a face mask when attending Church but at this stage it is not a
mandate. Please obey the rules as fines of up to $52,000 apply and there could be spot checks by police or health officials.
Grandparents are a Blessing!
Our Grandparents play a very significant role in our lives - perhaps today more than ever. From them we learn our history and traditions as a family. Often today it is our Grandparents who offer us support in our faith journey.
We will have a special blessing to honour Grandparents at the Masses this Sunday. It is an extraordinary privilege to belong to family. Our parish family is no exception. The Masses will be a celebration of thanks for all they do for us. The patron saints of Grandparents are Sts Anne and Joachim - the parents of Mary and the grandparents of Jesus.
St Vincent de Paul - Possible Closure
The St Vincent de Paul Society has been active in this parish since 1941 except for two years from 1945 to 1947. Members have visited many thousands of homes during that time, offering financial and other support to those in need.
Because of pandemic restrictions and the ages of our members we have been inactive in the parish for the last six months, and that situation will continue at least until the New Year. As a result, our parish will not be able to prepare and distribute Christmas hampers this year, but alternatives are being considered.
At present, people in need in our parish area can be assisted by appointment at the Vinnies office in Wyong. To support that work, our parish will have the usual Christmas Appeal in November/December.
Vinnies can continue its work in our parish only if younger people join us and take over our activities. At an average age of 78 years, our present members cannot maintain this work into the future. Please contact the parish office if you can help.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is held on all first Saturdays of the month. Prayer and quiet time will be held throughout the day from 9:30am to Benediction at 4:30pm (before the 5pm Mass).
Adoration is also held on all Saturdays of Lent, June, September and Advent.
The apostle Paul was a man completely enamored with Christ and tirelessly dedicated to spreading His Gospel to Jew and Gentile alike. Well-known biblical scholar and EWTN live show host, Fr. Mitch Pacwa, explores the great apostle's letter to the Ephesians. Unpacking the profound depth that lies beneath Paul's concise prose style, he offers penetrating insight into such realities as the armor of God, the new man in Christ, and much more Wednesdays 10:30am-11:30am or 7pm-8pm. Muldoon Room. All Welcome!
Bible Study SUSPENDED
Bible Study is suspended until further notice. See you all in the near Covid-free future!
Be There for Me
While over 900 catechists are heading back to this wonderful work in our diocese, some are not able to return at this time. So, can you be there for them as a relief catechist?
Already there has been a positive response to the call for relief catechists. Some people have returned to the ministry after taking a break for a few years. Others are coming into the ministry because changed circumstances mean they have time. These relief catechists are doing safeguarding training and will be offered a special introduction to managing classes with good lesson preparation.
Our parish covers four public primary schools: The Entrance, Bateau Bay, Brooke Avenue and Killarney Vale - all close by. Our catechists and helpers visit the schools on a Thursday during school terms. Just call our parish office on 4332 2216 or the Diocesan CCD Office on 8379 1638 and offer be a relief Catechist or Helper.
